The 117th General Assembly
was held in Berlin on 16th and
17 th October, where the German
University Sports Federation
(ADH) reviewed the past year
and made plans for the future.
The Assembly also elected
the board for the 2022-24
term, unanimously confirming
Mr Förster as the President
/ Chairman of the Board. Mr
Förster is thus starting his
fourth term in this position. The
Assembly also elected other
members of the board, various
commissions, and members of
the National Council.


In this year, a new Secretary
General was appointed at the
German University Sports
Federation (ADH). Mr Benjamin
Schenk, former Head of Division
Youth and Education, became
the new Secretary General and
heads the office in Dieburg.


Various events and changes
have been part of FADU in
October, among which were
changes among the Board
members. During the special
ceremony that took place on
13 of October, Mr Ricardo Nora,
student at the University of
Beira Interior, was elected as the
new President of the Portugal
University Sport Federation, for
2022-2024. The new executive
board, led by Mr. Nora, has
more eight members: Francisco
Garcia, Carlos Santos, Sofia
Jarreta, Luís Ribeiro, Gabriel
Tavares, Rui Sousa, Beatriz
Leandro and Diogo Braz, from
different universities all over
the country. Changes has been
made regarding the position
of Secretary General, as Mr
Arménio Coelho has been newly
appointed. The other governing
bodies that also signed the
investiture were the General
Assembly, Audit, Disciplinary
and Justice board.


The Lithuanian Student Sports
Association (LSSA) held their
General Assembly, that took
place in the premises of the
Lithuanian Student Sports
Museum on November 28,


during which Ms Indre Celkiene
became the new President of
the organisation. The long-
time President Mr Ceslovas
Garbaliauskas decided to
retire from his position, so the
Assembly elected the new
President, and also members of
the Board.

The new Board is lead by Ms
Celkiene, and 6 members
elected to the LSSA Board are
Ms Raminta Kuktaite (Vilnius
Gediminas Technical University),
Ms Ramune Zilinskiene (Vilnius
University), Ms Banga Balnaite


  • Stoniene (Klaipeda University),
    Mr Ramunas Butautas
    (Lithuanian Sport University),
    Mr Jonas Okunis and Mr Vladas
    Juknevicius (both Vytautas
    Magnus University).


University Sport
Development Meetings
On April 22, at the occasion
of the EUSA Executive
Committee meeting, following
the conclusion of the bidding
process and the official
presentation of the candidature,
the European Universities
Games 2026 have been
attributed to Salerno. The
bidding and awarding ceremony
were held at the Aula Magna of
the University of Salerno, in the
presence of the highest local
and university authorities, EUSA
Executive Committee members,
invited guests and students,
including the President of
the Region of Campagna Mr
Vincenzo De Luca.

In June the 15th Friendship
Games was held under the
patronage of the European
University Sports Association
(EUSA) and the International
University Sports Federation
(FISU). This edition of the
event took place in Eilat, a Red
Sea resort from 8-15 of June,
hosted by the Tel Aviv University
Sports Club and ASA Israel.
The Friendship Games mission
is a “simple” one – to create
friendship in the Middle East
and other countries, using Sport
as a bridge to connect people.
