The power of sport provides
the basis of encounters and
friendships between students
from diverse cultures, religions,
e and backgrounds.


On 27th of September,
representatives of EUSA met
with Mr Ilan Kowalsky, Israel
Academic Sports Association
representative & EUSA
Technical Commission Vice-
Chair, at the EUSA Office in
Ljubljana, Slovenia. Topics
discussed at the meeting
were cooperation between the
organizations, the upcoming
2023 International Games that
will be held in Eilat, from March
20-23, as well as some side
events, such as the ASA Sports
Leadership Conference.


On October 5, EUSA held a
meeting in Ljubljana with


representatives of CUS Venezia
to explore the possibility
of adding EUSA Winter
Championships to EUSA Sports
Programme in 2023. During
the meeting in Ljubljana, CUS
Venezia presented the detailed
proposal of Val di Zoldo to
host the 1st edition of the
European Universities Winter
Championships.

Later, on November 9th, EUSA
Delegation had an official
working visit to Venice to finalize
the proposal for the potential
organization of the 1st EUSA
Winter Championships. The
engaged parties agreed on an
action plan and scheduled a first
Inspection Visit in Val di Zoldo
in December, to evaluate all
logistic aspects. At the meeting,
it was also agreed that the
EUSA-FISU Seminar will be held

at Val di Zoldo, from 23-26 of
March 2023.

FISU with the support of the
Turkish University Sports
Federation (TUSF), organized
the FISU World Cup 3x3
Basketball, that took place from
27-29 of October in Istanbul,
Turkyie. FISU University World
Cup 3x3 Basketball, hosted
university student-players
from all around the world, that
competed to be crowned the
FISU World Cup 3x3 Basketball
champions. The final match was
held at Galataport on October
29, at the occasion of Türkiye’s
Republic Day.

On 13 of October, the Portugal
University Sport Federation
(FADU) has officially inaugurated
the Student-Athlete House and
the Portuguese University Sport

Museum of FADU, in Aveiro. In
the museum are represented
the international participations
and respective achievements,
the organization of national
competitions, the evolution of
national trophies awarded by
FADU since 1990, the main
moments of institutional history
and the distinctions received in
the last few years.

At the occasion of the
centennial anniversary of
student sport in Lithuania, a
National Student Sport Museum
was opened in Kaunas on
November 18, the first of its kind
in the world. The museum not
only inspires to look at the past,
but also encourages thinking
about the future.
