In the mixed double final
Samuel Smith and Sian Kelly
from University of Nottingham
(GBR) played a great match
and won the gold medal against
Kate Frost and David Walsh
from Technological University of
Dublin (IRE).


The winner in the badminton
team tournament was University


of Strasbourg (FRA), followed
by Admiral Makarov National
University of Shipbuilding (UKR).
The third place was shared
between Gdansk University
of Technology (POL) and
Technological University of
Dublin (IRL).

At the finals of the Badminton
competition, we had a visit from
the President of Badminton
Europe, at that time, Mr Peter
Tarcala.

All in all, we can see that
University of Nottingham (GBR)
and University of Strasbourg
(FRA), continued their great
performances from the last
European Universities Games in
Coimbra, winning various gold
and silver medals, occupying top
three spaces on the podium.

EUSA and the city of Miskolc,
Hungary are looking forward
to joining forces in organising
the next EUSA Badminton

event as part of the European
Universities Championships in
2023.
