3X3 BASKETBALL

JULY 17-

One hundred and sixty-seven participants making up 42

teams of both female and male students gathered in Lodz,

to attend the 3x3 basketball competition. 3x3 basketball

was one of the most attended and popular sport events

for the general public, during the European Universities

Games in Lodz. This was proven by the large number

of spectators at each of the games, especially for the

final games in both men’s and women’s competition.

In the women’s competition,

the first place on the podium

was won by Vasyl Stefanyk

Precarpathian National

University (UKR) which scored

for the win against University of

Ljubljana (SLO) in a nail-biting

anticipating game, ending with

the result of 14 : 12. Third place

was awarded to University of

Vienna (AUT) which competed

against University of Pitesti

(ROU).

In Men’s 3X3 basketball

Vytautas Magnus University

(LTU) won 21 : 9 against Vilnius

University (LTU). The game

for third place was won by

University of Vienna (AUT) who

played against University of
