JULY 16-
In duration of 3 days of Chess competition, fighting with
kings and pawns, the best of 62 participants (37 men
and 25 women) took home victories and medals.
In the women’s individual
tournament, the most
successful three players were
Alicja Sliwicka from Nicolaus
Copernicus University in
Torun (POL) winning the gold
medal, Giedre Vanagaite from
Lithuanian University of Health
Sciences (LTU) winning the
silver medal and Elise Tomasi
from School of Engineering
(FRA) wining the bronze medal.
While in the men’s individual the
top three places were occupied
by Paulius Pultinevicius from
Mykolas Romeris University
(LTU) on the 1st place, Igor
Kowalski from Kozminski
University (POL) on the 2nd
place and Tomas Laurusas from
Mykolas Romeris University
(LTU) on the 3rd place.
The blitz team competition
in men’s category had three
participants celebrating their
triumph. The gold medal went
to Mykolas Romeris University
(LTU), while Ozyegin University
