(ROU) is the one holding the 1st
place on the podium, winning
the match 8:7 on penalties.


Apart from the medals awarded,
to the first three teams,
individual prizes were also given.


Among the women’s teams the
Fair Play Award went in the
hands of University of Laussane
(SUI), while in the men’s
category the winners was the
Swiss Federal Institute of Sport
Magglingen (SUI).


The Most Valuable Player in
the men’s competition was
awarded to Oscar Gonzalez
Piera from the Ramon Llull
University (ESP), while the Most
Valuable Player in the women’s
competition went in the hands
of Lise Ruf from Karlsruhe
Institute of Technology (GER).

The award for Best Goalkeeper
in men’s competition was
earned by the Alexandru Gabriel
from the West University of
Timisoara (ROU), while among
the women’s competition went
in the hands of Diana Simoes

De Oliveira from University of
Coimbra (POR).

Top scorer prizes were also
awarded, going in the hands
of Marie Dehri from University
of Bordeaux (FRA) in women’s
competition and to Nicolas
Bononi from University of Toulon
(FRA) in men’s competition.

This year, under the umbrella
of the European University
Sports Association (EUSA), the
European Universities Games
are the main continental
qualifying event for European
universities for the FISU

University World Cups in 3x3
and Football.

Therefore, from the Football
competition, the West University
of Timisoara (ROU) and
University of Bordeaux (FRA)
qualified for the FISU University
World Cup in Football, that will
take place in China in 2023.

EUSA and Tirana, Albania are
looking forward to organizing
the next EUSA Football event
as part of the European
Universities Championships in
2023.
