EUSA Year Magazine 2022-2023

(eusaunisport) #1

Emotions and willingness to win
were not lacking. Competing
single and in teams in both men
and women categories, they all
had their chance to give their
best and earn a medal and as
well to make sure they compete
in the fair play spirit and have
fun. We can easily say that judo
had a great journey on these
European Universities Games in
Lodz, Poland.

The athletes came from all
corners of Europe and competed
to the same high standard,
within their own category,
having the collective points
from all represented universities
collated to produce a winner of
the mixed team competition.

Out of all the universities
represented at the European
Universities Games in Lodz,
the gold medal was won by
Sumy State University (UKR),
while the silver medal went to
University School of Physical
Education in Wroclaw (POL).
The third place and the bronze
were split between Lithuanian
Sports University (LTU) and
University of Grenoble Alpes
(FRA).

EUSA and the city of Zagreb,
Croatia are looking forward to
organizing the next EUSA Judo
event as part of the European
Universities Championships in
2023.
