SWIMMING

The pool area of Zatoka Sportu was the competition base

for the swimmers at the European Universities Games in

Lodz, 2022. In the swimming competition 108 male and

70 female student athletes, competed for the medals.

The athletes showed readiness,

competitiveness, strive for the

win, but mostly happiness and

satisfaction to be part of the

swimming competition at the

European Universities Games

2022 in Lodz, Poland. The

competition was held in great

sporting spirit and with a lot of

awards for the sucessful results.

Both in men’s and women’s

competitions, athletes

coming from 38 universities,

competed in 16 categories,

with different length and style

and in one mixed tournament.

They competed in backstroke,

breaststroke, and butterfly on

50 m, 100 m, 200 m, freestyle

on 50 m, 100 m, 200 m and

400 m, medley on 200 m, as

well as freestyle relay 4x100 m

and medley relay 4x100 m. The

athletes also competed in mixed

tournament, Freestyle Relay

4x100 m.

In this mixed tournament,

freestyle relay 4x100 m, the

most successful universities
