WATER POLO
JULY 16-20
After being a demonstrative sport at the European Universities
Games in Zagreb-Rijeka in 2016, and skipping the program
of the Games in 2018, Water Polo was one of the sports that
went on full with competitive spirit on this year’s Games in
Lodz, Poland. 110 participants were part of the competition,
forming total number of 9 teams coming from 7 countries.
The 6th day of competition was
the day of Water Polo finals, full
of suspense and anticipation due
to the final match. In a very tight
match, Corvinus University of
Budapest (HUN) made its way
to the 3rd place of the podium
by winning its match against the
University of Debrecen (HUN).
Water Polo grand final started
right after, with Budapest
Business School (HUN) playing
a spectacular match and wining
against Lviv State University of
PC (UKR). Lviv State University
of PC (UKR) was a favourite
during the whole competition,
showing off great skills and
talent for scoring. However, the
grand final was an interesting
game, dominated by Budapest
