WORKSHOPS AND

EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMES

In the context of the European Universities Games in

Lodz 2022, a comprehensive educational program was

conceived and developed which involved discussions of

topics mainly related to volunteerism and sport, consisting

of various conferences, round tables, workshops sessions,

sport activities, exhibitions, and other social events.

Being the largest multi-sport

event organised in Poland, the

organisers, together with EUSA,

took the opportunity to enrich

the educational programme.

During the EUG, a series of

events, activities, seminars, and

workshops took place dedicated

to the integration of volunteers,

but also enabling them to

gain additional knowledge and

information about different

programs. Some of the activities

were open to other participants

also, offering topics related to

sport. Additional experts and

external facilitators were invited

to support the implementation

of the side-events.

The main place of integration of

volunteers and implementing

most of the educational

activities has been the

Volunteers centre, situated

at Zatoka Sportu – the main

building of the competition. This

centre was the place where the

volunteers had their own space,

a place where sports could be

watched, serving as well as

an information centre – about

ongoing activities, as well as

about different initiatives – like

Erasmus+, local university sport

or on-going health enhancing

physical activity campaign.

During the first days of the

event, special workshops

dedicated to the teambuilding of

the volunteers were organized –

both in Polish and English

language. All volunteers have
