9HU. Use them to cut one large piece
from rose gold leather and two smaller
pieces from cream-coloured leather, as
indicated on the template.2
Lay one of the leather pieces down
flat, with the right side facing up.
Place its template on top of it and use
an awl to pierce through the leather at
each dot. Make sure you do this on an old
work surface or a piece of scrap wood as
the awl may go through the leather into
the surface below. Repeat with all three
leather pieces.3
Decorate your leather. We used a
pencil to lightly sketch out a design,
then worked over it several times in acrylic
paint. Once finished,
place your inner and
outer cover pieces
together and hand stitch
through the holes with
a leather needle and
waxed thread to join
