1

Draw the shape of a luggage tag onto a thin sheet of
wood, using a ruler and pencil. You can make it as big
or as small as you like – just ensure it can accomodate
your name and address details on one side. Use a saw to
cut it out, then sand the edges. Carefully drill a 1cm hole
in the top of the tag for the strap to go through.

2

On one side, use a pencil to lightly write your name
and address. Use a pyrography tool to sear the text
into the wood. Once finished, use masking tape to mark
out a stripe on either side of the text. Apply a thin coat of
spray paint then leave to dry. Turn the tag over and repeat
to create diagonal stripes.

3

Make a strap. Cut a 1cm x 25cm
strip of leather, then trim one
end into a point and use an awl to
punch holes along that end. Stitch
a small buckle to the other end.
Remove the masking tape from
the diagonally striped side of the
tag and use acrylic paint to add a
text design over it. Finally, feed the
strap through the hole and fasten
the buckle to finish.

1

Download and print the headphones holder
templates from http://www.yourhomemagazine.
co.uk or send a stamped SAE to Your Home
June Headphones Holder Templates, HBM UK,
The Tower, Phoenix Square, Colchester, Essex, CO4 9HU. Use them to cut
two large pieces from pink leather and one small heart piece from rose
gold leather.

2

Lay your small heart piece down flat, with the right side facing up.
Place its template on top and use an awl to pierce through the
leather at each dot. Repeat to pierce the larger piece, then place the
small heart on top of the larger one (aligning the holes) and hand stitch
the two together.

3

Hand stitch the two halves of a snap fastener to the second large
pink piece, then place it right-sides-together with the other large
piece. Stitch the two together, working through the holes positioned
around the edge of the shape.
