In children’s rooms, encourage
Lego creativity by sticking Lego
bases onto furniture or walls.

Good idea!

‘It’s important for me to get the background right

  • the walls, flooring and main pieces of furniture

    • because they are expensive to change.’

To make the most of all the available
space in the bathroom, Sarah chose an
L-shaped shower bath which ensures
that no one feels cramped when
showering. For a similar design, see the
Cooke & Lewis Adelphi RH Supercast
acrylic L-shaped shower bath and for a
similar shower head, see the Cooke &
Lewis one spray chrome-effect shower
head, both B&Q. For similar towels, try
the Abstract Floral towel range at M&S

Sarah has used a rainbow of bright pastel
colours to give Elsie’s bedroom a positive
vibe. The walls are painted in Dulux Party
Surprise, the Portland wall mirror is from The
White Company and the Maileg Princess And
The Pea fairy bed is from Alex and Alexa

The bathroom is one of the few
rooms in the house that doesn’t benefit
from dual-aspect windows, so Sarah
decided to give the room a cosy, yet
glamorous feel. The black glass mosaic
tiles are from B&Q; the dark-grey vanity
unit is made from handleless kitchen
units; and the mirror was from a
furniture store in Brynmawr

A selection of space-themed wall decals
give Ted’s bedroom an extra-terrestrial feel,
but when he’s outgrown this phase they
can be easily removed. The star curtains
and duvet set are by Little Home at John
Lewis & Partners. For similar planet wall
stickers, try Amazon. Sarah made the
picture rail with pre-cut timber and Shaker
pegs she bought from eBay
