"Gentle Persuasion" came to me as a gift. At a herding trial, I took pictures all day. This is "Mister," the consummate working dog, smart,
careful, caring, unbothered by antics of the most bodacious ducks. Painting this piece was a joy, challenge, lesson, and has done me
proud. Thank you, Mister ... and friends. eGentle Persuasion, watercolor, 20 x 24, fUntroubled Waters, watercolor, 11 x 18.

Painting the Salton Sea in Southern California I stumbled upon
a housing development envisioned as a resort destination.
Subdivisions were installed but they discovered the sea was
toxic. My painting talks of life in the desert, vehicles to traverse
the moving sands, clouds with the hope of rain and developers
dreams. c Desert Toys, Watercolor Arches 300lb Cold Press, 17.5 x 28.

My intent as an artist is not to engage the viewer as merely
a conduit to money and fame, but to engage them in a way
that they become part of the process, and in that process they
become the judge as to whether my work is good or bad.
cHerding, oil, 48 x 36.
