arli Lloyd, 37, is one of the most
decorated women’s soccer players
in U.S. history. So when she
learned she’d been demoted to a
reserve role shortly before this year’s
World Cup, she was crushed. “I’m not
here to be a ‘super sub,’ plain and simple.
That’s not the type of person I am,” said
the women’s national soccer team’s most
senior member, promising she wouldn’t
give up. “I’m a fighter and I’ll fight to the
end... This could be a storybook ending.
The pen is in my hand. The only person
who can get in my way is myself.”
Carli stayed true to her word. Though
she returned to the starting lineup for
only a single game, the star athlete was
just one of three team members to play
in all seven. “I’m really proud of this
team,” she said after walking off the

lead her squad to victory. But the 30-year-
old forward’s bad behavior off the field
once landed her in serious trouble! In 2017,
Alex was partying at a bar at Disney World’s
Epcot when she got into a rowdy altercation
with another patron. According to the incident
report, when police arrived at the Florida theme
park, Alex was “screaming” and appeared to be
“highly impaired.” She was detained and issued
a citation before being escorted from the
grounds. “I want to apologize for my actions,”
she wrote on social media after the episode.
“I will learn from this mistake and make sure it
does not happen again.” Guess it’s safe to say
she won’t be heading to “the happiest place on
Earth” to celebrate her team’s big win!T

defender are engaged! “We’re
going to be getting married,”
shared Ashlyn, revealing that
they’ll tie the knot this December
in Miami in front of 100 guests.
While they only recently shared
their happy news, Ali and Ashlyn
have actually been
together for
almost a decade.
Back in 2010,
while playing
for the U.S.
national
team,
“wealways sat next to each other on the
bus and on flights — and we just
clicked,” recalled Ashlyn, 33. “The
rest is history.” But the ladies made
the tough decision to keep their
relationship a secret from the public
for the sake of the team and the
franchise. “We wanted to be
professional and make sure that we
showed up every day and did our
job,” explains Ali, 34. “We love what
we do, and that was most important
for us.” After getting engaged, they
decided it was finally the “right time”
to confirm their romance,
explained Ashlyn. “We wanted
to come out and say this is
