Mission aborted...
Villanelle (left)
and Eve flee

E

ve Polastri’s covert operation for
MI6 is suddenly compromised,
causing major consequences for
both Eve and psychopath Villanelle,
as Killing Eve concludes this week.
Villanelle is still in Rome, working
undercover for MI6 to find out more
about creepy
billionaire Aaron
Peel’s secret
weapon, with
agent Eve (Sandra
Oh) monitoring
her from close by.
Everything seems
to be going to
plan, but when
Villanelle – who’s
posing as New
Yorker Billie –
discovers her
evil former handler
Raymond (Adrian
Scarborough) is a
prospective buyer for Aaron’s
weapon, Eve realises Villanelle’s in
trouble and needs help.

Rescue bid
Eve bursts into Aaron’s home to save
her, blowing the recent recruit’s
cover in the process, and events
take a dramatic turn. Later, Villanelle
arrives at Eve’s hotel to find an
angry Raymond waiting... with an

axe! As a fight ensues, Eve shows
up and it becomes clear she’s learnt
a lot from hanging out with cold-
blooded killer Villanelle...
‘This connection Eve has made
with Villanelle is fascinating,’ says
Jodie Comer, who plays the assassin.
‘Whether that’s something Eve is
happy about is another question –
Villanelle, however, is thrilled!’

Mix-up
As the pair flee to
some Roman ruins,
Villanelle’s excited
about what the
future holds for
them both. Eve,
however, just wants
to get home to
London. Realising
Eve doesn’t share
her plans for them
to spend their lives
together, Villanelle
is heartbroken –
and shoots Eve! Is she dead?
‘The most interesting part about
playing Villanelle is the exploration
of her emotions, or lack of them,’ says
Jodie. ‘There’s a flicker of humanity
about her and, just when we think
we’ve found it, we lose it again.
‘Assassins can feel like creatures
from another planet, whereas there’s
something earthy about Villanelle.
She gets away with murder, quite
literally, but I love her!’ n

When Eve and assassin Villanelle’s secret

mission goes wrong, someone ends up dead!
