the following blends, recommended
by Dr Eric Zielinski, help balance your
hormones, lift your mood and
manage perimenopausal symptoms.


instrUctions...



  1. all blends keep for 4-6 months if stored in
    airtight dark glass jars. when mixing oils, it’s
    best to use a glass stirring rod – try oils4Life
    Glass stirring rod (£1.19, oils4life.co.uk) – or
    use a stainless steel whisk, spatula or spoon,
    as glass and stainless steel are easy to clean
    and don’t absorb oil.

  2. Mix each blend in a glass bowl.

  3. Decant into a 30ml dark glass bottle.
    notE: references to ingredients below are to
    the essential oils derived from those
    ingredients, not actual fruits, spices or herbs.


MenopauSe balance blend 1
use this to help alleviate menopausal hot
flushes, irregular periods, low libido,
irritablity, sleep problems and fatigue.
●●5 drops clary sage
●●5 drops geranium
●●5 drops lavender
●●5 drops vitex agnus castus
●●5 drops ylang ylang
●●1 drop rose or jasmine absolute (optional)
●●120ml evening primrose oil


Mix all the oils together in the bowl. Massage
some of the mixture over your abdomen.
repeat twice a day for 3-4 weeks then have
a break for a week.


MenopauSe balance blend 2
This is another good one for headaches,
hot flushes, night sweats, insomnia, mood
changes, anxiety and fatigue.
●●20 drops lavender
●●15 drops geranium
●●10 drops jasmine
●●5 drops rose absolute
●●120ml evening primrose oil


add all the oils together and mix. Use it as a
full body massage oil, twice a day, for up to
four weeks, then switch to another blend so
your body doesn’t get too used to it.


ulTiMaTe Mood booSTer
use this uplifting blend to alleviate
pre-menstrual low mood, or simply as an
emotional pick-me-up when needed.
●●3 drops opoponax (sweet myrrh)
●●3 drops sweet orange
●●2 drops frankincense
●●2 drops lime
●●2 drops yuzu
●●30ml carrier oil such as sweet almond,
jojoba or grapeseed

Drop the essential oils into the carrier oil in
the glass bowl and stir. Decant into a glass jar
or bottle, then pour some out to massage
over your abdomen or rub on your wrists and
temples any time you need a boost.

nighT-TiMe cooling blend
Try this soothing blend to alleviate hot
flushes and night sweats.
●●2 drops lavender
●●2 drops peppermint
●●2 drops ylang ylang
●●30ml carrier oil

Mix the essential oils with carrier oil in the
glass bottle or jar by shaking. Massage a few
drops over your abdomen, the front and back
of your neck and tops of your feet both
morning and night.
