Broad-billed Sandpiper
Binomial Name: Limicola falcinellus
The Broad-billed Sandpiper is one of the birds that migrate to our country from farawaySiberia in the food and warmth crisis. The bird is considered by ornithologists an uncommon
migratory bird in Bangladesh. Broad-billed sandpipers roam the beaches, swamps, estuaries, or salt marshes. Sometimes alone, sometimes with flocks of other shorebirds
foraging. Small insects, invertebrates, or seeds as their favourite food. During the breedingseason from June to August, male birds build a few nests in light grass-covered fields in
Siberia. The females choose a nest from there and lay eggs.
