Indian Spotted Eagle
Binomial Name: Aquila hastata
The Indian Spotted Eagle is a rare resident bird of Bangladesh. But it can be migratorydepending on the area. It can be found in rural areas of almost all divisions of Bangladesh.
Wandering in the lightly wooded areas around the locality. They do not like dense forests.It searches for prey by flying in open fields. Wandering alone or in small groups. They are
more focused on hunting on the ridge than jumping into the water. The food list includesmice, frogs, lizards, fish, and birds. Sometimes they also eat dead animals. During the
breeding season of April-May, they make a loft-like nest with branches and leaves in the
giant trees of the village and lay their eggs.
