Black-headed Cuckooshrike
Binomial Name: Coracina melanoptera
The Black-headed Cuckooshrike is a uncommon resident forest insectivore of Bangladesh.It can be found in rural forests and urban gardens but is not ubiquitous. They usually roam
alone or in pairs, sometimes in mixed flocks of Treepie, Babbler, or Minivets. It searchesfor food by sitting behind the leaves of trees. Their favorite food is insects and juicy fruits.
The breeding period is from March to September, and they lay their eggs by collectingspider webs on tree branches and making nests with dry leaves.
