Black Drongo
Binomial Name: Dicrurus macrocercus
The Black Drongo is called the police of birds. A bird of the most daring and aggressivecharacter. Kites, buzzards, or vultures are not spared when they are targeted. Will attack
and knock back. Being protectors of small birds, they want to stay safe by nesting nearthe Black Drongo. The Black Drongo is a common insect-predatory bird in Bangladesh.
They are usually seen singly, in pairs, or in small groups across the country. Sitting low,they search for prey in vegetation and catch prey by surprise. The food list includes a variety
of insects. From February to August, nests are made of cobwebs, bark, leaves, grass, and
fibers on tree branches during the breeding season.
