The original habitat of the bird is the taiga region of Siberia. In winter, when the temperatureof their native land starts to fall toward the freezing point, they come to our country in
search of warmth and food. The Siberian Rubythroat is a rare migratory bird of Bangladesh.They are found in Chittagong, Dhaka, Khulna, and Sylhet divisions. They usually travel alone
but join groups of other insectivorous birds searching for food. Forages in shrubs andbushes growing on the ground or in the shade of trees. They catch prey by running or flying
fast. Insects and their larvae are the bird's favorite food. Breeding season is from May to
August. At this time, they make nests by twisting grass,fibers, thin branches, and hair directly on the ground
in their habitat.
