Binomial Name: Riparia ripari
The Sand Martin is a rare migratory bird of Bangladesh. Coming to our country in winter,they usually fly over the river. Also sits occasionally on the sand or mud banks of large
rivers, lakes, and ponds. They are gregarious birds, forming flocks of 50 or more birdstogether. They usually eat insects like mosquitoes and flies by hovering over the water.
