Oriental White-eye
Binomial Name: Zosterops palpebrosus
The Oriental White-eye is a common resident small insectivorous bird of Bangladesh. Inthe Sundarban, it wanders in groups among the leaves of the trees on the bank of the
canal. In addition to Sundarban, they can be found in practically all types of gardens, fruitgardens, bushes, and trees around the country. They hunt for food by flying and jumping
on leaves or flower buds. Various small insects, juicy fruits, buds, honey, seeds, etc., arein its diet. Their breeding season is April-September. Then they make a nest by spreading
grass, thin roots, spider webs, and hair on narrow branches and laying eggs.
