Yellow-bellied Prinia
Binomial Name: Prinia flaviventris
The Yellow-bellied Prinia is an uncommon resident bird of Bangladesh. They usually roamalone or in small isolated groups in plains, mangrove forests, under hills, grasslands near
water, and small Chittagong, Khulna, and Sylhet bushes. The bird is active, does not wantto sit still, flies from one end of the long grass to another all day, and sings loudly. Forages
in the foliage of bushes or grass. Insects or their larvae are their food. They mate duringthe nesting season of April to October. Then it makes a nest by blocking grass and roots
with spider webs in long grass or hanging leaves.
