Garganey, Blue- winged Teal
Binomial Name: Anas querquedula
This small duck comes to Bangladesh in winter. This common migratory duck of Bangladeshcan be seen in the wetlands of almost all the divisions. Garganey is terrestrial in nature. They
can live in both saltwater and freshwater. They roam in lakes, lagoons, swamps, and wetlands.Their favorite foods are seeds, sprouted leaves, grass blades, insects, larvae, and tiny snails.
In the breeding season of April-May in Europe and Siberia, in the Tundra region, they lay theireggs by laying grass and feathers in the grass or on the grassland.
