Jacobin Cuckoo, Pied Cuckoo
Binomial Name: Clamator jacobinus
The Jacobin Cuckoo is an uncommon summer migratory bird in Bangladesh. In summer,all divisions of the countryside roam the arable lands, vegetation areas, gardens, farms,
and bushes. It usually wanders alone, in pairs, or in small groups of 5-6 birds. Favoritefoods are caterpillars, ants, beetles, etc. The breeding season runs from June to August.
They do not build nests, lay eggs or raise chicks. The female bird secretly escapes with anegg in Babbler's nest. Babbler's job is to hatch eggs and raise chicks.
