Sweet as A Honey Bee
By Beverley Brown
This card began life using the leftovers from my tag project.
Already having the inky, die cut hexagonal background, I
continued the theme of bees in a summer garden. As you can
see my clean and simple style really shows with this card. Lots of
white space, while still combining a variety of products and media
on my card.
I started with a 13cm square of thick white card, stamping the
same silhouette foliage along the right hand side. I then added a
light blended background using Uniko’s Scattered Polka Hexagon
Stencil. I altered the hexagonal die cut background by trimming
some sections off as I wanted it to sit in the upper right corner
of the card, leaving space for a sentiment stamped to the lower
left. I added the trio of bees with foam adhesive embellishing the
bees with some clear Wink of Stella and again adding some of my
favourite Nuvo Drops to accentuate the sentiment.
