Cosmic Carvings
Stamp designed and

Consciously creating less waste has
always been an important aspect of my
business. With an ever growing scrap
pile of rubber and less and less space to
keep it, I decided to design a range of mini
stamps.
This celestially themed set is the first of a
few, moons and stars are an aesthetic that
I love and the simplicity of these shapes
lend perfectly to small scale carving. When
carving such small details, it’s important
to have a lot of light, this avoids harsh
shadows being cast on to your work. I also
find a pair of tweezers useful to remove
any small pieces of rubber that my gouges
can’t quite cut free.
