Family Memories
I cut a tag shape from Mixed Media card,
sprayed Distress Resist Spray through
a star stencil, dried it with a heat tool,
then rubbed on the foil with my fingers. I
used watercolour pans to dab on colour
with water. I stencilled more stars with
Distress ink, sewed around the edges
of the tag with my sewing machine and
added the photo and ephemera. I also
added a little bit of white gesso with a dry
brush. The photo is of my Grandmother
who is in the middle and her two sisters.
She was pulling a face because she didn’t
want to wear the big bow in her hair,
priceless memories.

Rubbing any colour foil
over the heated Resist Spray
on your project, it will pick
up the foil. You could also
try brushing it with mica
