She Was A Wildflower

Botanical Brights are right up my alley during this time of
the year. Wherever I go I see blooming flowers, hear the
chirping of birds and feel the warmth of the sun. I used a
daisy for my main image and the “she was a wildflower”
sentiment, since daisies also grow wild in the meadows.
I stamped the flower with Distress ink in purple and green,
and stamped the whimsical fine flower on top with black
Archival ink. After masking the image, I stamped the Doodle
Dots and the Rows of numbers in different colours and
added a frame using the Row of scribble circles and the
stitches stamps. I watered down some Spun Sugar ink and
gave the flower some ground. I stamped the sentiment
going upwards several times without reinking.Materials

I just had to use my pineapple stamp with these
tropical colours! I began by dotting alcohol inks
onto Yupo paper, and adding blending solution
to make the colours move around. When I was
happy with the design, I followed the fabulous
shapes with the white paint pen then stamped
lots of pineapples in black ink. I dabbed tiny
amounts of glue onto this background, and
adhered gold foil to it. I glued a strip of vellum
to the front, then stamped, coloured and die
cut the flowers and layered them on the left.
I stamped the sentiments in clear VersaMark
and heat embossed them using white
embossing powder. They were easy to fussy
cut and place on the card. I finished with the
stitches stamps around the edges, and some
gold pearl drops on the flowers.
