Tapestry Like Love

Making a tapestry like background using a repetitive flower pattern
was the main focus of my card. I embossed the flower design using
gold embossing powder, allowing both contrast and an easy fill of
colour with the markers plus giving a more elegant end result. Gold
embossing powder is also used to cover the metallic hearts to match
the background. The cotton ribbon was partially stamped in black ink
with the same flower pattern.Materials

Pretty Poppies

Firstly I created the background by putting green ink on my craftsheet
and spraying it with water. I dabbed the card into the ink and dried with
a heat tool. I stamped the two poppy stamps onto the background and
coloured them with the Zig pens. I stamped lush foliage on the bottom
of my card, the flowers and the butterfly onto a white card, and coloured
these too with the Zig pens and cut them out. I glued them in place.
I added a few highlights with a white gel pen. Finally I stamped the
sentiment onto the card and drew a black line to create a border before
matting onto pink cardstock.
