This is multi-layered, mixed-media LO created using some flourish elements. I was
inspired by the picture. I took my main colours from it, yellow and blue. When the picture
was chosen, I grabbed all suitable products together, and I chose embellishments by
colour and theme. To protect the paper, I covered it with clear gesso. Texture paste was
applied through stencils, and then I added embossing powder whilst the texture paste
was still wet. Once dried, the texture paste looks more dimensional, has a shiny finish
and has a resist effect. I applied sprays over the texture paste. Cocktail straws were
painted with white gesso and blue paint to resemble a continuation of the fence. Using
watercolour paper and an AB Studio stamp, I made leaves and cut them out. I started to
make a multi–layered composition using the papers and embellishments. To lift parts of
the composition, I used bits and pieces of cardboard between papers. I put some beads,
glitter and art stones over the embellishments, and added some splatters with spray to
give my project more dynamism.AB Studio
