Cocktails Anyone?
By Jaine Drake
Everybody needs a cocktail recipe booklet
in their life, so why not make your own
decorated with lime slices? To make
the cover, I took a piece of Gelli printed
card in citrus colours and cut it down
to A5. I stamped the lime all over with
Lime Rickey and All That Jazz ink from
Catherine Pooler. This, folded in half,
became the cover for my book. I printed
out the digital image onto watercolour
card and used watercolours to lightly add
some colour. To make the book I folded
several A5 pieces of copy paper in half to
make signatures, and sewed them in with
a simple saddle stitch. Another stamped,
die cut slice threaded on twine finishes it
off.

Bottle Tag

By Jaine Drake

Cut a tag from a piece of bright green
Gelli printed paper, and stamp the citron
slice all over with bright green ink to
create an all over pattern. Also over stamp
with a partial text stamp, and flick over
some watercolour droplets. Stamp and
watercolour two slices and die cut with
a circle die. Print out the cocktail onto
watercolour paper and leave it black and
white, then layer up everything onto the
tag. Cut a large circle from the top and
finish by adding the die cut sentiment.

“I designed the citrus
slice originally to be
used as an all over
pattern. It makes a
great background to the
cocktail!”
