Field Of Wildflowers
By Shirley Bampton
For my field of wildflowers I used the
direct to stamp technique. Starting
with the foxglove image, I applied the
ink, spritzed with water then stamped,
repeating several times. Although the
purple flower stamp is a solid image, I got
some realistic-looking flowerheads from
the spritzing process, and each flower
turned out differently depending on how
much spritzed water landed on the stamp.
Adding green twine round the panel keeps
the natural theme and anchors all the
flowers.
