Craft Stamper – July 2019

(Barry) #1

Under The Sea on p.18

Chris Dark this month has created
two fabulously fishy projects for us.
An altered canvas and a gorgeous tag,
both using Infusions Pigment Powders.
We especially love her use of Opaque
Flakes from Liquitex which give both
projects, especially the tag a little hint of
coral and foam and brings texture to the
background.

Summer Punch on p.6
We adore the canvas project created this
month by Jo Firth-Young. The pop of
colour on the contrasting black and white
background, is quite dramatic. We seem
to have fallen in love however, with the
alphabet strip stamp which comes from
another PaperArtsy set #63 as it adds
further to that little touch of whimsy!

Visible Image on p.32
In this month’s issue we’re treated to a
beautiful summery project by Jane Tyrrell
of Visible Image. The theme Jane uses of
fragility in beauty, is carried throughout
her piece with the use of cracks and
branch like inky tendrils. She finishes
off her butterflies with a coat of Crackle
Accents to emphasise their state of
fragility.

Dare To Dream on p.14

Melina Dahl has created some gorgeous
projects using a masterboard as her
starting point. The bold colour choice and
the contrasts she’s managed to achieve
with her flowers are striking. Stamping
her masterboard with a grey ink rather
than black, stops the detail from fighting
with the main image and helps it to blend
further into the background.

Sour Sweets on p.28
Michelle Webb this month demonstrates
how to use various resist mediums
to create amazing backgrounds in a
scrapbook layout and memory tag. Who
knew Resist Spray could be a carrier for
foil? It leaves a subtle distressed, foiled
finish behind and looks fabulous on
Michelle’s projects. This is one idea we
have to try out for ourselves!

3D Challenge on p.52
The designers in the 3D Challenge this
month, have been given a silicone mould
from FPC Sugarcraft to play with. The
inspirational projects they came up with
are absolutely gorgeous. Our favourite
has to be, the altered box by Chris Dark.
Her use of Antiquing Cream has created
a fresco like finish!

Admire some of the amazing details from this month’s fabulous makes.
