My Inspiration
I have a great fascination and interest in
miniature collectibles, and all beautiful,
vintage inspired decorative items. In this
artwork, most of the items are of my
own personal and favorite collection, and
some are family heirlooms. When they are
displayed on my dressing table, it sparks off
many creative ideas and stories to tell in an
artwork.

My Design Strategy
This artwork is a philosophical story from
my mind, yet holds many intimate feelings
from the heart. I arrange my subjects or
miniature collectibles in a fantasy boudoir
setting. All objects represent their own
characters; with their strategic placement, it
represents the age-old story of love, honesty,
loyalty and betrayal.

My Working Process
Once I outline my drawing in pencil on

paper, I start by layering colors on the top
part of the artwork first before coloring
objects that are closest in to the background.
I usually work my way up from background
to foreground to enhance the artwork for a
three-dimensional feel.
