late 1990s, marking an explo-
sive era in high-performance
formula catamaran racing. In
Carnac, France, 200 teams raced
triangle courses and distance
races across the Morbihan Gulf.
This edition saw the arrival of
several new Formula 18 designs,
including the Inter18, designed
by Americans Gino Morrelli and
Pete Melvin.
