are in that mood during the day, that may change later
on, especially in the evening.
Between Venus-Jupiter in the morning and Sun-Uranus
later on, Saturday’s aspects are bold and bright. We
feel confident and our minds are brimming with ideas,
yet this is a time to outline bold plans rather than to
try to implement them.
If we came up with what we felt was a worthy idea
or two yesterday, Mars square Saturn along with the
New Moon tells us it is time to sit down at the drawing
board and see if there is a way to turn them into reali-
ties. This takes us just one step further than yesterday,
because getting down details is more important than
sketching out a few ideas on the back of a napkin.
With Mercury slowing down for an end-of-month ret-
rograde, we need to come up with concrete ideas, set
them aside and make decisions on them next month.
Today’s aspects show, at least in part, why planning
and then waiting is best for now. If nothing else, Sun
opposite Uranus, Mercury parallel Pluto, and Mars
quincunx Neptune will jumble things up a bit, so we
may find ourselves rethinking everything we were
ready to make a firm promise on yesterday. Instead of
that, deal with the hectic scene promised by the day’s
aspects, setting aside pending plans.
Though Monday’s big aspects remain with us to some
extent, Today we get only lunar contacts that are
mostly pleasant. We can get back to work that might
have been knocked off course yesterday, and perhaps
find a way to get some real work done.
Mercury contacts to Pluto and Venus, but particularly
to Venus, seem to tell us that the coming retrograde is
likely to be a soft landing, so to speak, with few of the
standard Mercury retro problems visible. There will be
plenty of time over the next three weeks or so for Mer-
cury to fool with us, but for now it may just give us a
period of quiet in much the same way that a noisy air
conditioner restores peace when we shut it off.
So as of 10:40 a.m. Eastern Time we are in that Mercu-
ry quiet zone we mentioned, with the daytime hours
almost as peaceful as the sound of Mercury silence. It
would be nice if evening looked as promising, but af-
ter the Moon hits retrograde Mercury, Pluto, and then
Saturn, that aspect to Venus doesn't look as promis-
ing in terms of socializing as we might wish it to be.
No matter, since as the late great philosopher Scarlett
O'Hara once told us, “Tomorrow is another day...”
