THE ASXisasmall,family-friendly SUV thatcounts modelslikethe

Citroen C3 Aircross, Dacia Duster, HyundaiKonaand MazdaCX-3as

rivals. On theface of it, the ASXhas appeal: it looksgood and the

modelrangeisattractively priced. However, plenty of its rivalsoffer

amorepleasant drivingexperience,as well as nicer interiorsand

enginesthatare both morepowerful and cheaper to run.

The ASX’s sole petrol enginefeelsunderpowere d, soyouhaveto

work it quitehard, whichunderminesits fuel economy. It’s only

avai labl ewith front-wheel drivetoo.Interior qualityhas improved

duringthe ASX’s time onsale,but it feelsdatedcomparedto rivals. Its

tech,design andmaterial saren’t upto the standardofalternatives.

It’s easytofollowthe trims, though,as thereare only twoonoffer,

called Juroand Black.Allcarsget aBluetooth phoneconnection,

smartphone link, 18-inchalloy wheels,leather trim highlights,

foldingmirrors, tintedwindows,extrabody cladding, keyless

entry, climat econtrol,cruisecontrol,asix-inchtouchscreen

with arever sing cameraand heated front seats.
