SEVEN-seat MPVsaren’t as popular as they oncewere, butthe SEAT

with 148bhp that’s only availabl ewith amanualgearbox,plus achoice

of tw o2.0-litrediesel enginesthatproduce148 or 175bhp andcanbe

hadwith achoiceofmanual or dual-clutch automaticgearboxes.

The most economical optionis the lesspowerful dieselwith a

manual gearbox, whichmanag es up to 44mpg, while even the more

powerful diesel, whichonlycomeswith aDSG auto, re turns40mpg.

Howeve r, thisiso nlyoffered in the most ex pensive Al hambratrims.

Inside, there’salogicaldashboard,plenty of head and legro om in

the first tworows and just enoughspace in the thirdrow foradults. As

you’d expect fromaclass-leadingMPV,there’s also lots ofstorage,

with ahugefront armrest cubby, covere dstorage compartments in the

second-row floor and ontopofthe dashboard,slide-out traysunder

both front seats and tray tabl es on theback of the front seats.

Youalsoget handy sunblindsinthe rear doors,plus 12v and 230v

powersockets in thecabin. Even whenusingall seven seats, there’sstill
