Skoda has put a lot of focus on its SUV range in

recent years. But for practicality and value it’s

always been hard to beat the marque’s flagship

Superb, whether in saloon of hugely spacious

estate form. The recent facelift gave the car a

dash of extra style and added plenty of interior

t e c h (a l t h o u g h w i t h s o m e m o r e o f S ko d a’ s e v e r -

popular Simply features) – and it will soon be

followed by a PHEV version. Carrying the firm’s

iV badge for electrified vehicles, the system has

a total output of 220bhp, along with the ability

to complete 34 miles of pure electric running.
