Apart from that, it continues to be as comfortable in the city and
on the highways as before. In fact, the ride comfort at low-speeds
has only gotten better on this one. Things on the inside too
aren’t a whole lot different from the standard Compass. You get
an all-black theme with subtle touches of red, and a new, 7 -inch
instrument cluster, all specific to the Trailhawk. However, the
driver seat adjustment is now a manual affair, auto wipers and
headlamps are missing, and the panoramic sunroof our test car
came equipped with is an optional fitment.
All of this can be yours for `26.8 lakh, without taxes. Yes,
that’s on the expensive side considering its overall footprint,
but it offers off-road abilities far superior than its peers, while
its everyday on-road experience has only improved. It looks
like what an SUV should and is a comfortable family car that
can not only be used to drop the kids off to school, be your daily
commuter to work and a handy tool to run errands on weekdays,
but also as an equally comfortable and potent weekend/
adventure car. With Jeep’s newly added tech, the Trailhawk
should let you explore the unexplored with relative ease.
Come to think of it, the Compass Trailhawk now feels like a
proper Jeep, an SUV with added skills to manoeuvre the worst
our country has to offer.
