HYUNDAI VENUE

entering the car after it’s been parked in the sun feels
like stepping into an oven. Even during emergency
situations, for instance, if your beloved Venue has been
stolen, you can remotely immobilize the engine and
stop the thief in their tracks. There’s also a feature by
which you can set a distance limit or radius for when
somebody else is driving your car. I could go on and on
about the number of things Blue Link offers you, but I
think you’d be better off checking the brochure.
As we got back to the hotel in Guwahati, we
managed to get a quick spin in the automatic version of
the Venue. It’s a DCT unit mated to the 1. 0 -litre turbo
petrol. It’s a bit hesitant with the shifts but that’s only
if you’re driving in a hurr y. For all regular commute

purposes, it’ll more than suffice.
Overall, the Venue is a solid product from Hy undai.
Aside from the Blue Link which comes with a whole
host of useful and modern functions, the car drives,
handles and rides well. The 1. 0 -litre turbo petrol is
a delightful unit and a rather refined three-cylinder.
Most importantly, Hy undai has absolutely torpedoed
the competition with the pricing. Starting from Rs 6. 5
lakh for the base car and going up to Rs 11. 11 lakh for
the top variant, this is a range that will be suitable for
a wide variety of customers. From first-time buyers to
those looking to replace their regular runabouts. Take
a bow Hy undai, the Venue is truly a job well done and
rivals, you better watch out.
