As with every other longtermer,
we must bid adieu to the Ciaz too
and I am going to miss this comfortable sedan
quite a bit.
The Ciaz has always been a car that I would
recommend to people for the comfort levels, ease
of driving and hassle-free maintenance. With
the automatic transmission, it was even easier to
navigate the crowded streets of Mumbai.
Maruti has gotten the ride for most of its recent
cars properly sorted and the Ciaz is no exception.
The solid suspension is one of the reasons so many
people have bought it to be driven around in. And
for those who are particular about the kind of car
they are seen in, it’s got a stylish design on offer
as well. As somebody who spends pretty much all
my time in a car, behind its wheel, I have plenty of

SUZUKI CIAZ

Au Revoir!

It’s time for the Captur
to go back. It’s been a
good four months with the Captur and
I am sadder to see this attractive SUV
go. I recall my apprehensions and
even mild irritation with some of the
quirks the Captur has, but it was like
the car knew better than me how this
would end. Over 5,500km and 120
days, the Captur has won me over.
Yes, the quirks take some time
getting used to but the important
point is they aren’t something you
can’t live with. The driving position,
especially the seat height, continues
to bother me and the outdated
infotainment system is a put off but I
will still miss the Captur.
The positives like the excellent ride
quality, sufficient space, torquey
motor, attractive looks and impressive
ground clearance outweigh the
quirks, when you spend some time
with the Captur. It is not a Creta, but
then every car doesn’t need to be to
beat the Creta right? Some cars offer
you the chance to stand out from the
crowd, without compromising on the
basics. The Captur is one such car
and which is why I am saying Au
revoir and not good bye.

GOODBYE

GOODBYE

good things to say too.
The driving, as mentioned earlier, is super
stress-free. The other thing of note, is the engine
note. It sounds sporty when being gunned and
is quite a refreshing experience, especially when
making those quick overtake manoeuvres.
There’s features aplenty, enough to keep you
engaged during those long waits in traffic and
enough to ensure parking in tight spots is a breeze.
Of course, the rear seats need mention because
they are, one of the best things about the car. I
had recommended the car to my in-laws and a few
months into using it, I have to say the Ciaz has only
added credit to my name.
Overall, the Ciaz is a sedan I’ll miss sorely
and would recommend to anyone looking for a
comfortable, stylish and reliable car. Adios amigo!
