-> The J.D. Power 2019 Customer
Service Index Study had to do
with the service department at
dealerships and how it went for
you, including the advisor, facility,
process of picking up the vehicle,
and more. Those ranking highest
among the mass-market brands
included Mitsubishi, Chevy, GMC,
and Toyota.

That’s Interesting
-> And the Jeep Gladiator is one
of the best interiors you can get in
2019 if you follow Wards 10 Best
Interior awards.

-> It’ll cost you $5 to post a
vehicle for sale on Craigslist.

-> The Henry Ford Museum has
one of GM’s first self-driving ve-
hicles in its collection, and it’s also
the museum’s first autonomous
car. It’s a modified Chevy Bolt EV.

-> This summer, you can get
yourself a GMC Sierra CarbonPro
Edition affixed to the Sierra Denali
1500 and Sierra AT4 1500. It has
carbon-fiber composite equaling a
lightweight, scratch/dent/corrosion-

-> A dedicated website has
launched from Ford X called
findyourford.com. As in, it’s dedi-
cated to helping you find a used
Ford and providing the ability to
search inventory from multiple
dealerships at the same time in one
eye roll. It’s currently available only
for looking within Metro Detroit.

-> Ford is increasing Expedition
production.

-> There’s now a Jeep-themed bar
in Toledo called Wheelin’ on the
Rocks.

-> The ’19 Ram 1500 scored a
Best New Cars for 2019 award
from Autotrader.

-> Vintage Racing League brings
you racingandcars.com. You’ll
likely find almost anything related
to collector cars, with emphasis
on cars—but you never know.

-> Audi’s Green Light Optimized
Speed Advisory is a lot of big
words to say: fewer red-light
stops.

-> Kia debuted the Mohave
Masterpiece concept. Calling it
Masterpiece is pretty ballsy. And,
we think, at one point a type of
bucket of chicken from KFC. Kia
calls this “combining a large SUV
body with a luxurious, high-tech
cabin.”

-> GM is looking to ramp up its
10-speed transmission produc-
tion, so it’s investing $20 million
into its Romulus, Michigan,
plant, which right now builds the
10-speed as well as V-6s.

-> Mitsubishi’s L
Absolute is a concept
truck with “off-roading
nature.” It’s skidplated
and has off-road tires and
wheels, tuned suspen-
sion, and body armor.

Four Wheeler App

W

e decided to Google
this: Why do people
download apps? We know
a lot of things, but we don’t
have an answer for that. An
article on medium.com said,
“They (users) have a problem,
and they’re looking to an app
to solve it.” We’d say that’s a
big yes as to why you should
download the Four Wheeler
app. You need truck-building
ideas or help with tech prob-
lems, are looking for a part or
accessory, can’t figure out a
good place to wheel, wonder
which new 4x4 to buy...we’ve
got solutions to all those prob-
lems and others you didn’t
know you had. Download the
Four Wheeler app now at the
App Store.

->Volkswagen Atlas
Basecamp Concept

W

hen you hear VW talk about this
concept vehicle, you probably get
all excited: “Featuring a custom body,
lift kit, custom wheels, all-terrain tires,
roof rack with bike mounts, and LED
lightbars, the Atlas Basecamp Concept
is ready for adventure.” Then you prob-
ably cock your head all catlike when the
next thing said about it is: “Designed with
endurance mountain biking in mind.”
Psych. You might even be more curious
why there’s no mention of “overland-
ing,” since the “tow-behind camper is
equipped with a queen-size bed, pullout
canopy, and kitchenette, complete with
a stove, a sink, and a refrigerator/freezer
combo that can operate on an optional
12V battery. Other integrated features
include a self-contained water tank,
propane tank, portable toilet, hot shower,
and removable leveling jacks.” Concepts
bring questions.
