LG UltraFine 4K Display

No, we’re not a few years behind: the LG displays
that were created in collaboration with Apple have
been updated! This new model still has a 24–inch
screen, though the 4K resolution is now the Ultra
HD standard of 3840x2160, rather than the slightly
higher 4096x2304 Cinema 4K resolution of the
previous version. Minor pixel tweaks aside, the other
big change is that this monitor is now geared up
with two Thunderbolt 3 ports, as well as three
USB–C ports, so it’s a pro–level hub. There’s still a
wide P3 color gamut to match an iMac or MacBook
Pro’s screen, and stereo speakers.

>>> Made from bamboo and an aluminum frame
(and also some electronics), this is an all–in–one
speaker that doesn’t skip style for substance... and
there’s a lot of substance here. It has six drivers and
two bass radiators, provided with 320W of power
from a special hybrid amplifier, and with the sound
tuned at the analog stage, to ensure any changes
are lossless. This includes measuring your room
with ultrasonic sensors and adjusting the output to
match. It’s got Wi–Fi and Bluetooth, with support for
AirPlay and Spotify Connect, so it’s easy to play to.

Dash cameras come with wide–angle lenses so
that they can capture as much of what’s happening
around your car as possible... but surely you need a
360–degree cam to see everything? The 4K
resolution video sees in all directions, and it comes
with all the other smart tech you could need: 4G
and Wi–Fi so it’s always connected, motion sensors
to detect problems when parked, and even sleep
detection, so if you look like you’re struggling to
stay awake, it can sound an alert.
