LUMAFUSION 2.0
Amazing feature set
Very well designed
Create pro material without having to
leave iOS
Probably overkill for casual users
AWESOME

the interface adapts to
prioritize video preview. On
both devices, landscape and
portrait modes are supported,
and you can conĽgure the
window layout to suit you.
There’s no direct support for
accessing your device’s camera
from inside the app, but it can
import from your Camera Roll,
as well as a host of cloud
services. A variety of formats
are supported, including Sony
and Canon formatted video
clips. Video, audio, graphic, and
photo media can be dragged
and dropped from your libraries
directly into a project; and if
it’s coming from the cloud, it
downloads in the background.
You now get six video tracks
(up from three), and six
dedicated audio tracks for
a total of 12, since the video
tracks also contain their own
audio capabilities. New track
headers can be shown which
allow quick control of locking,
hiding, and muting tracks.
Media can be easily dragged
around and cut, with an
impressive library of
transitions and eļects that
include green–screen keying,
advanced titling, and much
more besides.
The timeline is easy to
navigate and it’s now possible
to output your program stream
to an external screen, which is
a huge bonus when it comes to

seeing what it really looks like.
There are markers too, so you
can add annotations about
edits and decisions, and frame
integration which allows things
like drawing on clips and
adding notes for collaborators
to look at.
Performance was excellent
on the iPad Pro 11–inch used
for our test, and project
management is also a breeze,
with multiple export
destinations available. There’s
even XML export for Final Cut,
with Premiere also coming in
an update, so you can transfer
raw projects to a desktop

system. This is an excellent
update that’s free for owners of
version 1, and great value for
new purchasers. It will be
interesting to see how the
mouse support in the
upcoming iPadOS is embraced
by the developers here. In the
meantime, it’s far and away
the most powerful iOS video
editing suite around, with pro
features galore and superb
performance.
THE BOTTOM LINE.
LumaTouch has hit it out of the
park with this slick, powerful,
fully featured update, making
LumaFusion 2.0 the best iOS
video suite on the block.
