hoppers Stop extended its reach to Guwahati
with its first store launch at the City Centre Mall
in Guwahati. The launch celebration was graced by
renowned Assamese actress, Barsha Rani Bishaya. As
part of the celebration, Shoppers Stop hosted an event
titled ‘Sounds of Guwahati - Be the Singing Superstar’
right at the mall. It provided a platform to aspiring
music artists from the city to come forth and showcase
their talent. The top 10 singers were selected through
rigorous rounds of auditions held at the store during
the course of one month. The winners came together
to create a soulful song dedicated to the city. Barsha
Rani Bishaya congratulated and felicitated the artists
during the event.
While shopping at the new store, the actress
commented, ‘I am excited about the entry of
Shoppers Stop in Guwahati. We can now get a taste
of international fashion and world-class shopping
experience in our very own city. Being a one-stop
shop, it will be very convenient for me to shop for
my apparels, cosmetics, footwear and other fashion
related needs, under one roof. I’m sure that customers
here in Assam will benefit and enjoy shopping at the

Speaking on the occasion, Uma Talreja, Customer
Care Associate and Chief of Marketing and Customer
Officer shared, ‘The Northeast has been a market that

sure we give enough reasons for the consumers to

Located at City Centre Mall, the store is spread
over a retail space of approximately 44,000 sq ft across
3 floors and offers many different fashion brands. The
store also has a wide variety of merchandise available
across categories under its exclusive brands - Stop,
Life, Vettorio Fratini, Fratini Woman, Haute Curry and
Kashish.
Customers in Guwahati will also be able to enroll
and avail benefits under the Shoppers Stop’s First
Citizen Loyalty programme, which is one of the
coveted loyalty programmes in the country with a
growing base of over 6 million members.
