oodtech India - the largest business-to-business
(B2B) exhibition in the eastern region on food
and hospitality industry, was organized in Guwahati
for the second time. Held at Maniram Dewan Trade
Centre, the four-day exhibition was scheduled from
June 13 to June 16.
Organized and marketed by the Delhi-based
firm, N K Kapur and Co Pvt Ltd, in association with
Hotel and Restaurant Association of Assam, North
East Foodtech presented a platform to the people of
Northeast where they could explore the opportunity
of start-up businesses in the food and hospitality
industry. The 4-day exhibition showcased food
processing machinery, bakery and confectionery
equipment, food packaging machinery, bakery and
confectionery accessories, food display counters,
beverage processing equipment, commercial kitchen
and refrigeration system, tableware, food industry IT
products, food additives and ingredients, commercial
chocolates, food packaging materials, sweets and
snacks making machinery, food flavours and colours,
dairy technology and many more. More than 90
companies from all over India displayed their products
at the exhibition. Live demo, products knowledge,
and technical know-how were also provided to the
visitors.

Second Edition of NE Foodtech

‘The 2nd edition of North East Foodtech-

witnessed an increase of 31% in terms of the volume of

the show’, mentioned Zakir Hossain, Chief Convener.

‘It is an ideal forum for young entrepreneurs from

the region to get a complete know-how of the food

industry and also get new ideas and concepts to

convert their existing food businesses into a modern

and technology oriented venture.’

Trade visitors from neighbouring states like

Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram,

Tripura and West Bengal turned up to explore the

opportunity. Students pursuing their hospitality

management & food technology courses also got a

chance to interact with industry experts.
